Roberto MariottiniI was born in Bologna in 1970, where I lived until I was 29. In
september 1999 I moved to Torino, where I live still today. In 2000 I
married Monica.
On 13 october 2005 were born Silvia and

Since 2001 I've been a software design engineer for Prima Electronics, of the Prima Industrie group. Currently I'm working on the application software on our numerical controls and on the machines produced by the group.
From 1999 to 2001 I worked in Artis, a software
house that produced Artifex
and Optsim,
two very popular simulation
software. In 2002 the two products were acquired by R-Soft.
In the 1990s I worked freelance as a computer science teacher in some training courses, in training centers near Bologna. In 1999 I was teaching assistant for the Statistics faculty of the Bologna university. I was also a developer and consultant for some small companies near Bologna (Sertek, Qubica and Biotron).
I've a "laurea" degree in Computer Science obtained from the Bologna University, with a dissertation about automatic recommender systems.
In my spare time I like writing programs, the last one is SuperbCalc: a
free tape calculator written in Java. I have published a collection of
components and libraries written in Java under a BSD-like license.
I like also following the FreeDOS project, another project related to it called FreeDOS-32 and the development of the D programming language. As for FreeDOS, I've prepared this page with some of my contributions.
Other hobbies not related to computers are music and theatre. I
studied
classic guitar for one year. I go to the theatre for
opera shows.
